When looking for a Bar & Grill, I want a friendly vibe reminiscent of Cheers, from the 80s/90s sitcom, paired with some tasty authentic bites you can only get there. Knowing that I love to find a non-pretentious eatery with remarkable food, our editor at the Huckleberry Press, Val Mohney, suggested I check out Crave Eats. Drinks. Nightlife.
“Where good attitudes and good spirits are always welcome,” was enough to spark my interest. This line is on the Facebook page for CRAVE EATS. DRINKS. NIGHTLIFE. Check it out if you want to know what’s up at Crave.
CRAVE. Soon to celebrate their 10th year in business (July 2022), Crave has weathered the storms and closures of 2020/2021. Owner Jacob Miller prioritized keeping several of his original staff members on board throughout the pandemic’s slow-down. Jake stated that he loves people and just wants everyone to have a good time, good food, good drinks and get home safely after their night out. He enjoys connecting with people and bringing the good food and drinks to both the surrounding business community, party people and their regulars. He can, and has stepped into every role at Craves, but has an amazing staff he appreciates. Lance Blackman is a key player in bar management and is the creative chef behind the unique preparation on some traditional Eats.
EATS. Specials are offered every day of the week along with unique soups made daily. Craves offers a tasty spin on traditional bar food. Extreme nachos and other shareable appetizers. Burgers, loaded fries and totts, sandwich favorites, salads and wraps are all prepared with the unique Crave spin.
We are talking about bar food stepped up several notches. For example, the chicken tenders are potato chip crusted chicken breast served with a side, the B.L.A.T. takes a BLT a step up by adding fried avocado. We enjoyed the Crave Night Club sandwich with guacamole on Ciabatta and the Chicken Caesar salad, both exceptional. Soup lover? You may want to try the Guiness Ale Stew, the Philly Cheesesteak soup or other soups of the day (I’m guessing they go fast). Reviews state that they serve the “Best French Dip I’ve ever had.” February starts Taco Tuesday with hard and soft shell tacos for only $2. Head in for an outstanding version of one of your favorites.
DRINKS. The word is self-explanatory. All form of traditional libation, including beers on tap and bottle, a large variety of alchohol, soft drinks and non-alchoholic beer by the bottle. As a side note…remember you can always enjoy any distilled spirit, including tequila, rum, brandy and gin free of carbohydrates, cholesterol and fat. Stop by if you are ready to watch some sports, pull-tabs, or check out the free poker game on Thursday and Sundays for a gift card to the winner.
NIGHTLIFE. DJ and dancing starts at 10pm on Friday and Saturdays. Karaoke on Monday nights starts at 9pm. Crave is also known for their friendly bar tenders, waiters and security staff. They offer a full bar and a healthy portion on all plates, along with TVs, gambling and dancing.
Crave will definitely be on your list if you are participating in The Irish Drinking Team Pub Crawl this St. Patricks’s Day.
