Zack and I don’t often find ourselves in Nine Mile Falls, but I have always loved the area, so we decided to take a little trip over there where we discovered the most delicious Brewhouse, located at 291 Brewhouse (5978 Washington-291, Nine Mile Falls, WA, 99026.)
What we enjoyed:
– Jalapeno Poppers
– Brewhouse Brisket Panini
– 291 Jalapeno Burger
The menu at Brewhouse is amazing: they offer a wide and unique selection of food including (but not limited to) a Pearl Waffle Chicken Sandwich and a Spicy Thai Chicken Flatbread. It was hard to decide among all of the delicious-sounding options, but we ultimately chose to start with the Jalapeno Poppers. The poppers include hollowed out fresh jalapenos filled with cream cheese, bacon, and green onions, then wrapped in prosciutto. They are then baked to perfection and drizzled with honey. The combination left our taste buds dancing in delight.
I ordered the Brewhouse Brisket Panini which is loaded with thick slices of certified angus brisket that was smoked for nine hours. The ciabatta bread was smothered with garlic aioli and a small dollop of pickled slaw before pressed in the panini grill. The brisket was some of, if not the best, I have ever had. Each bite just melted in my mouth. Usually Zack doesn’t eat the fat of the meat, but he wanted all of it and more! The pickled slaw had a great tang that left me wanting more, but I might love sour vinegar flavors more than most.
Zack decided to try their Jalapeno Burger which included: a soft, fluffy bun with garlic aioli, loaded up with pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, lettuce, and tomato. Each layer was perfectly done, and there weren’t too many jalapenos (although, in our house, I’m not sure there’s such a thing). The bread stayed soft but didn’t fall apart and the tomatoes and lettuce were a fresh addition. Brewhouse offers a selection of sides to accompany their entrees; you can choose between regular or sweet potato fries, chips, or house salad. We went for classic fries, which were served in cute mini fry baskets.
Brewhouse also runs a variety of drink specials. We visited on a Sunday and ordered their $15 dollar bottle of champagne with our choice of juice. They offer mango, strawberry, and orange, and, yes, we did get all three. It was the perfect date night drink to share. Since we had ordered an appetizer, we decided to skip dessert, but we will definitely be back to try them. Brewhouse offers a giant cookie skillet, cheesecake, alcoholic and non-alcoholic root beer floats and so much more!
The actual restaurant building was converted from an old gas station. They have a charming patio area with a huge table and tabletop fireplace that will be great in the summers. Inside they have a nice bar top and lots of tables to choose from. The vibe is modern country and everything was clean and well taken care of. The service was great and the food came out hot and quick!
Even if you aren’t in the area, it is worth the trip to check this place out. We know you’ll be impressed. We certainly were!
