Robyn Westergard has been involved with Northeast Washington real estate for 16 years and knows the market intimately. Before opening her own Real Estate office in 2004, she honed her skills in real estate by working for another local Realtor, and before that, as a real estate agent on the west side of the state. After 25 years in the business, Robyn knows how to help people find their dream home or sell their present home.
The choices we make have long lasting effects. Robyn made a choice many years ago to stay home with her son. She still needed an income and real estate filled those needs and joined with her passion for helping people establish themselves in new homes. “I love helping people find homes,” Robyn said. “It’s the really fun part of the job.”
Another choice Robyn made was to move to Stevens County. It was a love match for her: “It’s so beautiful here! Recreation is available all year long with lakes, trees – everything!”
Westergard Real Estate merged just over a year ago with United Country Four Seasons Realty. Robyn is the owner/broker with four Associate brokers: Jeanie Ross, Sylvia Rathbun, Joe McCaslin, and Joe Conowitch. All are seasoned and well-educated in the real estate business with a minimum of seven years experience.
Robyn is quick to point out that a small office doesn’t mean fewer services than larger offices. The same state-of-the-art, high-tech services are offered at Westergard Real Estate. There is as much – if not more – enthusiasm, energy, hard work, and experience. In fact, Robyn attributes her success to these qualities, and, more importantly, to honesty. “Without honesty and integrity, nothing else would matter,” states Robyn.
Robyn and her associates provide “unlimited service,” meaning they are willing to help their clients with any real estate need. Whether buying or selling, for sale by owner (FSBO), residential, commercial, multi-family, acreage, in town or in the country, Westergard Real Estate can help. Many satisfied clients will affirm that Westergard Real Estate goes above and beyond the average real estate business in helping people to buy and sell property. Robyn describes it more modestly: “I treat my clients as I would want to be treated.”
A big help for first-time buyers is the free class Robyn, along with a lender and a home inspector, teaches at her office. This class is required by some lenders, but is helpful to all first-time buyers. It would be just as helpful for second-time buyers if many years have passed since buying the first home.
Every home, acreage, or business that is for sale in Stevens, Ferry, and Pend Oreille counties – and the Spokane area – are available through Westergard Real Estate. No one will lose a single opportunity by choosing Westergard.
Sellers can rest assured that Robyn doesn’t just list a home for sale, she works with the seller, providing help with all the details. First, she will establish the fair market value of the home or business and market it accordingly. It will be advertised in the MLS and everywhere the larger companies advertise. While the Internet has made the market even more competitive, Robyn can give sellers an edge with advice on how to make their home more appealing to buyers.
Robyn takes pride in the “proven results” of her slogan. She has been a Top Producer for many years, which means she had to meet or exceed the standard set by the NE Washington Multiple Listing Service guidelines. In 2013 she earned the distinction of Realtor of the Year, Colleague of the Year, and Top Producer. She is President-elect for 2016 of the NE Washington Association of Realtors. In addition, Robyn is a notary.
Robyn is justifiably proud of her warm and inviting family-oriented office. A safe play area keeps children entertained and within view while their parents conduct business with Robyn or her Associates. To help people feel even more at home, Robyn provides coffee and ice cream to both clients and her fellow realtors. “Here,” says Robyn, “clients can feel at home while looking for a home.”
For those who share Robyn’s passion for helping people buy or sell real estate, Robyn offers training. But more than passion is needed. When asked what attribute is most important for a Realtor, Robyn replied, “Patience. You need to listen to people and really hear what they say. There is nothing more inconvenient than to be shown property you have no interest in or doesn’t meet your needs.”
Westergard Real Estate adds that personal touch: they listen.
Westergard Real Estate is deeply involved in the community, especially in those programs and sports activities that help children. “That’s where my heart is,” said Robyn. Among other things, she is also on the board of the Kettle Falls/Horizons group and helps the Food Bank.
