Airway Heights, Wash – August 2, 2021: The West Plains Chamber of Commerce has hired Mark Losh as the organization’s new Executive Director. Losh is currently the Director of Membership for the Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce, a position he has successfully served in for more than three years. He will assume his new position with the West Plains Chamber on August 23, 2021.
“I am very excited about this opportunity and challenge,” Losh said. “The West Plains is a region of Eastern Washington that is poised for explosive growth and great influence with many key stakeholders including the Spokane International Airport, Eastern Washington University, the Kalispel and Spokane tribes, Fairchild Air Force Base, Amazon and new industry such as manufacturing – all of which forms a solid foundation to make communities strong and prosperous.”
Losh brings over 40 years of career experience in multiple industries to his new role, ranging from business ownership and start-ups to expanding existing companies. He got his start as the co-owner of the Breadboard Restaurant in Deer Park in 1977 and has also worked in finance, high tech, security, construction and manufacturing. Over the years, he has honed his skills in leadership, persuasive communication, sales, marketing, business development and connecting community.
“I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of the 300+ members of the West Plains Chamber of Commerce,” smiled Losh. “For me, it’s all about relationships and knowing who my members are, what they need and how I can help their businesses grow. My philosophy is to first connect with members, then engage them in the Chamber and ultimately grow their business and the Chamber which is a win-win for everyone. I can’t wait to get started!”
Losh was born and raised on an Angus farm outside of Deer Park, WA. He has deep ties to the community as the first Settler’s Picnic was held on his great grandfather’s property. He was proud to ride in the 100 year anniversary of the Settler’s picnic on July 24. He and his wife Sheryl are looking forward to coming home.
