Zack and I have driven past Maverick’s a dozen times but never had the chance to stop in. We finally had a chance and were delighted to learn that, not only do they have a delicious and wide variety of lunch and dinner options, but they serve breakfast all day!
What we enjoyed
~Eggs Benedict
~Country Fried Steak & Eggs
~French Toast with Whip Cream and Strawberries
~Peach Mango Mimosa
The whole menu sounded delicious, but our wonderful server (and owner’s daughter) Makayla said her two favorite breakfast items were the eggs benedict and the country fried steak, so of course we had to try them!
The eggs benedict was so light and creamy. They take an English muffin and layer it with a generous amount of ham, top it off with two poached eggs, and smother it in their hollandaise sauce. Hollandaise sauce can be really hit or miss for me, but theirs was absolutely delectable. The flavor wasn’t too rich, and the thickness was just right. It came with a side of hashbrowns, which you can never go wrong with.
I always have to try something sweet, so I got a side of their French toast and, of course, I added strawberries and whip cream! The French toast was one of – if not the – best I’ve ever had. The bread was thick, but the batter was even thicker. The whole thing was light, but dense, all at the same time, and they used sweetened strawberries with lots of whip cream, just the way I like it. It paired perfectly with my peach mango mimosa!
Zack’s country fried steak was mouth-wateringly good. The crust was golden brown, and the gravy was perfectly peppered. The steak was cooked flawlessly, it stayed tender and juicy. His breakfast came with a side of eggs, hashbrowns, and toast.
We can’t wait to go back and try their lunch/dinner options. They serve everything from steak to seafood, burgers, chili, salads, and sandwiches. They even have a vegetarian section on their menu. Whatever you are in the mood for they have you covered.
The restaurant was started by a local family when their grandpa bought the business 13 years ago and asked his kids to run it. Today, his daughter Jami is the owner and her sister Jill and daughter Makayla help run the show. Not only is their food to die for, but they will greet you with smiling faces and make you feel right at home. But be prepared for when it’s time to leave and you “get the boot,” which means you literally get your check in a baby cowboy boot, that were Makayla’s real baby boots!
Stop in today and enjoy their amazing menu and spacious dining room. In the summer, you can even sit on their gorgeous patio. Whatever the occasion, you are sure to have a delicious and memorable experience.
